Class Descriptions
Puppy Kindergarten & Basic Obedience: These classes
help establish better communication and a stronger bond between
you and Fido. They cover all of the basic commands (sit, down,
stay, come, heel, leave it, etc) and doggie issues (manners,
housetraining, chewing, barking, etc). Class size is limited
in order to guarantee all the individual attention you and
your pup need. Classes run one hour per week for 6 weeks.
Advanced Obedience: Advance
obedience class focuses on safety and earning your pup his
canine good citizenship certification. (Basic obedience is
a pre-requisite for this course.)
Agility: Agility class
teaches Fido to run a variety of obstacles on command, providing
exercise and mental stimulation for both you and Fido. And
it's REALLY fun!

SEMINARS
We have special 1-1.5 hour long, one time seminars designed
especially to address a variety of specific canine issues:
LEASH WALKING SEMINAR
Do you want your dog to be more interested in YOU when you're out for a walk , walk politely on a loose leash , heel (!) and deal with distractions?
LEASH AGGRESSION SEMINAR
Is your dog GREAT at the dog run and doggie daycare…but a bit hard to handle when he/she sees another dog on leash? Want to fix the problem? Or if you have a puppy, wanna PREVENT the problem?
SEPARATION ANXIETY SEMINAR
Can't leave the house without your dog barking, destroying things or eliminating? Can't tie him up outside a café and run in for a coffee?
SMALL DOG SYNDROME (SDS) SEMINAR
Does your dog suffer from SDS? Is your little guy convinced he's a big guy? Learn about leash aggression, dog run safety, basic house rules, and all of the special issues that small mutts and their humans face.
NEW DOG SEMINAR
Got a new dog or puppy? Not quite sure what you've gotten yourself into? Or are you planning on getting a new dog and want to be fully prepared BEFORE Fido arrives? Learn about house training (to crate or not to crate), what mutt supplies you need, what dog books to read (and what not to read), canine health information, how to prevent certain behavior problems before they start and much much more!
NEW BABY SEMINAR
Planning on starting a family? Concerned about your dog's reaction to a new baby in the house? We'll teach you how to prepare Fido for the baby's arrival, make the change in his life as smooth as possible, and offer tips on how to keep the peace once your baby starts to move around.
CLICKS AND TRICKS
Want your dog to Play Dead or Wave Goodbye? Teach your mutt 13 cool tricks!
Private & Resident Training: Private dog training
lessons are available upon request. These can take place at
our facility or at your home, whichever you prefer. We also
do resident dog training, meaning that the dog is trained
while boarding. When the dog has completed the training program
you will receive a one-hour lesson in "how to operate
your dog".
Apprentice Program:
Have you been thinking about a career change? Walk This
Way offers quarterly seminars and apprenticeships for those
interested in dog training and behavior counseling.
